At 9 a.m. on the morning of January 1st, 2026, the weather was quite cold—but it became the stage for the warmest proposal of the year, led by the most passionate man.

He had been preparing for the proposal for months. As we talked through different ideas and made a plan, we decided on this approach: I would pretend to be a hiker, and then Carlos would come up to me and ask if I could take a photo for them. After that, he would naturally transition into proposing to his girlfriend.

Namsan Park is one of the best places to enjoy Seoul’s scenery. You can capture both the modern backdrop of N Seoul Tower and the historic city walls in one location, which is why I highly recommend visiting—even if you’re not planning a proposal.
