Hi, I’m Josh from Joshfotos_, a professional photographer based in Seoul, South Korea.


Since 2019, I’ve been capturing unforgettable moments for travelers, couples, and influencers from all around the world. Whether it’s a wedding photoshoot, a Korean pre-wedding session, or a Seoul travel photography experience, my goal is to help every client feel comfortable, confident, and natural in front of the camera — even if posing feels unfamiliar.

“We planned a two-hour session in two very different places: the calm beauty of Eunpyeong Hanok Village and the lively, urban charm of Euljiro.”

“As Bukchon Hanok Village has become increasingly crowded with tourists, Eunpyeong Hanok Village has started to emerge as a great alternative.


It’s much more spacious than Bukchon, and it doesn’t get nearly as crowded—at least for now.”

“We started at the earliest time we could meet. I like to shoot either before the sun sits high in the sky or during sunset, when the light feels soft and natural.”

“At the beginning of the session, I avoid forcing poses. I let them walk, talk, or sit together for a bit, helping them forget about the camera and naturally fall into their own rhythm.”


“And over time, the awkwardness fades, and posing begins to feel natural for them.”

“And I always make them run at some point during the session. It sounds funny, but it really helps them loosen up, and the photos end up feeling a lot more natural.”

“We ended the shoot on a really fun note, and the next evening, we met again in Jonggak.”

“Shooting at night always comes with lighting challenges, so for this session, I used my 35mm f/1.4 prime lens to get the light I needed.”

“Because an f/1.4 prime lens creates a very shallow depth of field, the background can blur so much that you sometimes lose the sense of location. So I paid extra attention to the shooting distance and adjusted carefully as I worked.”


“And I made sure to arrange the scenes carefully so the photos would clearly show elements that represent Korea.”

“Our goal for the night was to start from Jonggak Station, wander through Sewoon Sangga, pass Euljiro 3-ga, and wrap up the session at one of Euljiro’s neon-soaked hotspots.”
